Core Services Group facilitated a JD Edwards EnterpriseOne upgrade for a hardware manufacturer and distributer. This company is one of the fastest growing and most innovative brands in the hardware marketplace, distributing to Amazon, Wayfare, Menards, Lowes, etc. The company was using JD Edwards 8.12. Their goal was to become code current with an upgrade to 9.2 applications. It was determined that a switch from their aging iSeries platform to a Microsoft SQL Server database would benefit them from a cost, performance and supportability standpoint. This complete upgrade and change of platform was done on a shoestring budget and with a team of only three Core consultants. Despite these hurdles the project was delivered on time and under budget by 4%. In September 2019, the company went live with JD Edwards 9.2 on a fully current and SQL Server supported environment. The project was a huge success with an increase in reliability, performance and user support/innovation since the upgrade.
